Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream at Costco: Is the Two-Pack Cheaper Than Korea?

Costco sells the Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream as a 50 ml two-pack: $15 to $20 per tube depending on the deal, under the $27 single tube at Ulta and Olive Young US and close to…

Costco’s Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream two-pack works out to $15 to $20 per 50 ml tube, depending on the sale. That is cheaper than the $27 single tube at Ulta or Olive Young US, and close to Olive Young Korea’s sale price. On October 25, 2026 the Costco.com price was $29.99 for two tubes after a $10 manufacturer saving that runs through October 31; the regular price is $39.99, or $20 a tube. One thing the Costco page does not say is which version of the cream is in the box.

345 or 147?
The numbers are ingredient counts. 345 is the soothing, blemish-care cream; 147 is the barrier-support moisturizer. Details below.

What Costco is actually selling

Costco item 1867458 is “Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream, 1.69 fl oz, 2-pack”: two full-size 50 ml tubes. On October 25 the page showed an online price of $29.99 with a note that the $10 manufacturer’s saving runs from October 1 through October 31, 2026, while supplies last, against a regular price of $39.99. The listing shows an online price; the warehouse we checked did not stock it, and Costco’s own note says it “may be available in your local warehouse, prices may vary”. Shipping is included and there is a limit of five per member. This guide covers Costco US; Costco Canada lists the cream separately.

Costco’s member terms say certain merchandise can be bought online by non-members, who pay 5% more than members. Some Costco.com items are sold to members only, and we could not confirm whether this two-pack is one of them. If non-members can buy it, the surcharge is about $1.50, so the deal still holds.

Costco vs US stores vs Korea, per 50 ml

US store prices are from Olive Young US and Ulta on October 25, 2026. Korean prices are from Olive Young’s Korean website the same day, converted at ₩1,350 per US dollar; the Korean listing is a value set of one 50 ml tube plus two 10 ml minis.

WherePricePer 50 ml tube
Costco US, October 2026 deal$29.99 for two tubes$15.00 (non-members: $15.74)
Costco US, regular price$39.99 for two tubes$20.00
Olive Young US or Ulta, single tube$27.00$27.00
Olive Young Korea, on sale₩24,500 for 50 ml + two 10 ml minisabout $18 for the set; about $13 per 50 ml counting the minis
Olive Young Korea, regular₩29,000 for the same setabout $21 for the set; about $15 per 50 ml counting the minis

With the October discount, a Costco tube costs about the same as a tube in Korea. At Costco’s regular $39.99, a tube ($20) costs more than Olive Young Korea’s sale price (about $18 for the set, or $13 per 50 ml counting the minis), though still less than the $27 single tube at US stores. So if you are in the US, there is no reason to wait for a Korea trip or a friend’s suitcase for this one; if you are in Korea anyway, Olive Young’s bundle with the minis is the better buy. Which version will you get?

In 2026 the brand’s Amazon store lists the cream as “345 Relief Cream Ver.2”, and its product copy names Sodium DNA from rice-bran PDRN among the nourishing ingredients. The tube pictured on Olive Young Korea’s listing prints “Sodium DNA from Rice Bran PDRN” in its nourishing-care line, suggesting the Korean retail version is the PDRN formula too. Costco’s listing does not say “Ver.2” anywhere, so treat the version as unknown until it arrives: check whether the ingredient list on the box or tube includes Sodium DNA (PDRN), which the Ver.2 listings name. We have not found an official statement from Dr.Althea describing what changed between the versions.

345 vs 147: which one to pick

These are the brand’s two creams most often compared, and the numbers are ingredient counts. On the tube, 345 lists 3 ingredients for blemish care, 4 for nourishing and 5 for soothing. 147 follows the same naming idea; a retailer listing describes it as 1 barrier-supporting ingredient, 4 nourishing ingredients and 7 types of hyaluronic acid.

  • 345 Relief Cream is positioned for sensitive and acne-prone skin and “post-acne” care. On the tube, the brand sorts its ingredients into blemish care (resveratrol, tannic acid, niacinamide), nourishing (beta-glucan, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, Ceramide NP, rice-bran PDRN) and soothing (green tea, tea tree and centella leaf waters, madecassoside, centella PDRN). Its Amazon copy promises “a silky finish without any greasy feeling” and a non-comedogenic claim.
  • 147 Barrier Cream is the hydration and barrier-support option: the brand highlights ectoin for the moisture barrier, Ceramide NP, and seven types of hyaluronic acid, and describes it as a daily moisturizer that “layers comfortably before makeup”.

Put simply, choose 345 if redness, blemishes or irritation is the problem you are shopping for, and 147 if your skin is dry or tight and you want a plain barrier moisturizer. We have not used either cream ourselves; this is the brand’s framing, not a test result.

If you do not shop at Costco, the single 50 ml tube is easy to find. On October 25, 2026, Olive Young US listed it at $27.00 with free shipping over $35, and Ulta listed it at $27.00, in stock with store pickup. The brand’s Amazon store lists the 345 cream as a single 50 ml tube, a Ver.2 two-pack and a 15 ml mini, plus a cream-and-mist duo and a travel kit. Prices change often, so check the listing.

The Korean name to search for

If you look for this cream in Korea, search for the Korean brand name, not the English one. Olive Young’s Korean site returns nothing for 닥터알테아, the obvious transliteration, but lists the brand’s products under 닥터엘시아 (dak-teo-el-si-ah), the name the brand uses in Korea.
