If you shop from the United States, start with two places this Black Friday: OLIVE YOUNG US and Amazon. Other US retailers stock some of the same brands, so compare the final price. OLIVE YOUNG Global stopped shipping to the US on May 29, 2026, and parcels sent from Korea now carry import duties. Black Friday falls on November 27; Amazon’s 2026 sale window and OLIVE YOUNG US’s holiday event were not announced as of October 21. On six of the seven products we checked (same pack size), Olive Young Korea’s sale prices ran about 47% to 70% of OLIVE YOUNG US prices, but duty, carrier fees and shipping on Korea-shipped parcels eat much of that gap, so a US deal close to the Korean price is usually the better buy. This page is updated as the dates land.
Before you start
- Pick the right storefront
- US delivery: us.oliveyoung.com or Amazon. Outside the US: global.oliveyoung.com. The Korean site, oliveyoung.co.kr, is for in-store and domestic shopping.
- Read the year and the time zone
- Searches still return last year’s deal pages. Amazon events run on Pacific Time; check the time zone on each OLIVE YOUNG US offer.
- Expect duties on parcels from Korea
- The US $800 duty-free rule is suspended. A Korea-shipped order from any retailer now adds roughly 10% or a little more plus a carrier fee, paid at checkout or on delivery.
Key dates for 2026
Only two dates are fixed. The rest follow a pattern, so treat them as windows to check, not promises.

Where US shoppers can buy now
The biggest change this year is not a sale. It is the storefront.
OLIVE YOUNG US (us.oliveyoung.com)
Opened May 29, 2026 for US addresses only, run by CJ OLIVE YOUNG USA Inc. Orders ship within the US. Product pages list standard delivery of 2 to 7 days and free shipping on orders of $35 or more; some items do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. There is no import duty because nothing crosses a border after you pay. Former Global members can switch their account, keep points, and lose coupons and wishlist items. The switch cannot be reversed.
OLIVE YOUNG Global (global.oliveyoung.com)
Since May 29, 2026 it no longer accepts US orders. If you still have a Global account, the switch notice explains what transfers. Readers outside the US keep using Global as before.
Amazon US
Several Korean brands sell through their own Amazon stores, including Biodance and Anua. Prices move daily and often undercut list price during the event, so compare on the day. Our guide to buying Korean makeup online from the US explains how to check that a listing is the current product version.
Retailers shipping from Korea or Hong Kong
YesStyle, StyleKorean and similar shops still deliver to the US, but the parcel now goes through customs with a duty attached. Add that cost before you compare them with a domestic price.
Duties on parcels from Korea
Until August 2025, a parcel worth under $800 entered the US without duty. That exemption was suspended on August 29, 2025 for every country and every carrier, and Congress has set July 1, 2027 as its permanent end. Since then the rate on Korean goods has changed more than once. OLIVE YOUNG Global charged 15% from August 2025, then cut it to 10% on February 24, 2026 after a Supreme Court ruling. After the legal basis changed again on July 24, 2026, one commercial tracker lists Korea at 10% and another estimates 12.5%; we could not confirm the rate against the customs authority’s own text.
What that means at checkout: budget 10% or a little more of the declared value, plus the carrier’s clearance fee on anything shipped from Korea. Some retailers collect it when you pay; others let the courier bill you on delivery. The checkout screen, not the product page, shows which.
Why this favours OLIVE YOUNG US and Amazon. A $19 domestic item stays $19. A $19 item shipped from Korea costs about $21 once a 10% duty is added, and more after the carrier’s clearance fee and shipping. That gap is why the Korean price advantage in the next section mostly matters if you are in Korea, or if someone is bringing products back for you.
Korea price vs US price: 7 products
We checked the same products on Olive Young Korea’s online store and on OLIVE YOUNG US on October 21, 2026. The Korean column shows the list price and the price with that week’s online promotion applied. Converted at about ₩1,350 to the dollar, the Korean sale prices were about 47% to 70% of the US price for the same or a bigger pack. Note the pack differences: Korean promotions often bundle a refill or minis.

Two cautions. Korean online prices change weekly with each campaign, and in-store prices can differ from the app. And a US Black Friday discount of 20 to 30% closes much of this gap for a domestic order with no customs risk. Use the Korean column as a benchmark: if a US deal lands within a few dollars of it, buy domestically.

Reading an OLIVE YOUNG offer before you pay
Holiday banners stack three different things: a product discount, a cart coupon with a minimum spend, and points or gifts that do not lower today’s total. The short version for Black Friday: confirm the discount in the checkout total, not the banner, and keep the offer page open in another tab.
Visiting Korea in December
If you will be in Korea in early December, the in-store sale is the better event. Olive Young’s quarterly sale has started in the first week of December in recent years, with brand discounts across skincare and makeup, and the monthly member event around the 25th to 27th follows it. Dates are announced late in November on the Korean app and site.

Bringing products home in your luggage follows a different rule: the US personal exemption for returning travellers still applies within its limits. Check the CBP site for the current allowance before a big haul.
Shopping from the UK, Canada or Australia
OLIVE YOUNG Global still serves these countries, with its seasonal sale four times a year (March, June, September and December) and a November Black Friday event in past years. The shipping page (version dated August 19, 2026) lists free shipping on orders of US$60 or more and these tax rules:
