The Saem Tip Concealer Review: Shades and Coverage

A practical guide to The Saem Tip Concealer shades, targeted coverage, dry under-eye limits and the conditions that should change your choice.

A tiny dot of concealer can be all you want: a little coverage on a mark, a touch beside the nose, and the rest of your base left alone. That is the most appealing use for The Saem’s Cover Perfection Tip Concealer.

We recommend it as an inexpensive, concentrated concealer for small areas. If your main concern is very dry under-eyes, it is a less convincing first choice. The coverage is appealing, but a thicker finish can draw attention to the texture you wanted to soften.

The little tube to look for

The product here is Cover Perfection Tip Concealer, 6.5g. The Saem also makes Allproof, Fixealer, Pot, and Duo concealers. Fixealer is also listed at 6.5g, so the name matters as much as the size.

The Korean official store listed this regular Tip Concealer at ₩5,500 on October 2, 2026. Its ten options included six beige shades and four correcting, brightening, or contouring colors. Overseas prices and selections can differ.

1.0, 1.25, or 1.5? Start with undertone

Among these three, the brand describes 1.0 Clear Beige as cool, 1.25 Light Beige as warm, and 1.5 Natural Beige as neutral. The suggested depth also changes, so moving up a number is not simply choosing a darker version of the same beige.

  • 0.5 Ice Beige: neutral; brand guide 13–19.
  • 1.0 / 01 Clear Beige: cool; brand guide 19–20.
  • 1.25 Light Beige: warm; brand guide 20–21.
  • 1.5 Natural Beige: neutral; brand guide 21–22.
  • 1.75 Middle Beige: warm; brand guide 22.
  • 2.0 / 02 Rich Beige: warm; brand guide 23.

If a light warm base already suits you, 1.25 is the more relevant starting comparison than choosing 1.0 because its number is smaller. For a slightly deeper neutral base, 1.5 is the more useful place to begin. These Korean ranges are brand guidance, rather than exact matches across foundation brands.

The overlap is real: two Korean buyers who described their usual base as shade 21 chose 1.5 and 1.75 respectively. Older English reviews also described the undertones differently from the current brand labels. A familiar matching base is a better reference than a number or the word “neutral” alone.

For deeper skin, the range is a significant limitation. The deepest shade in this chart is linked to Korean 23; the name Rich Beige does not mean it offers a deep match. We would choose another range if these swatches do not come close to your skin depth.

Good coverage, with some texture trade-offs

Coverage is the clearest strength in the accounts reviewed. A 2022 reviewer using 1.5 reported full coverage from a thin layer. A 2018 reviewer using 01 needed two layers for full-looking coverage and could still faintly see dark freckles.

That makes it promising for placing a little product on a small mark. It does not make a much lighter shade the better choice: for spots, a color that blends into the surrounding skin usually makes more sense than creating a bright patch.

The finish was less consistent. The 1.5 reviewer, who described oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin, reported no creasing and advised moisturizing dry skin first. The 01 reviewer found it very thick and said it could look cakey as it wore away; a September 2026 buyer with combination skin found 1.75 moist and easy to spread.

For dry under-eyes, we would prioritize a forgiving finish over maximum coverage. The older reviews also differed on wear: about 4–5 hours for 1.5 under dewy makeup, compared with eight hours or more for 01 without powder. These were different shades and routines, so neither is a wear-time promise for your tube.

The shade 01 reviewer also noticed a slight color change. If the fresh match is what sells you on it, take another look once it has settled before adding more coverage.

A small dot is a nicer starting point

The brand’s directions are simple: dot on a small amount, spread thinly, and tap with a brush or fingers. For a mark, keep most of the coverage on the mark itself and soften the edge into your base.

Under the eyes, decide whether you want to cover color or brighten the area. A lighter shade may brighten, but it will not remove skin texture or change the shape of a hollow. Before adding more, look at whether the first layer is helping or beginning to collect.

Our pick for precise, affordable coverage

Buy it for a small-area concealer, provided the shade works for you. It is less appealing if your priority is a sheer layer over very dry texture, or if the beige range is too light. There is no need to make a cheap concealer work at the expense of a flattering finish.

Where to buy: in the US, the Tip Concealer is listed on Amazon under the brand’s store page: The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer on Amazon US (paid link). The linked listing is shade 2.0 Rich Beige; other shades appear as separate listings on the same store page, and the buy box was held by third-party sellers when we checked, so confirm the shade name and the seller before buying. The Korean official store listed it at ₩5,500 on October 2, 2026, and our Korea vs US price check lists its Olive Young US price for comparison.

The other options have different jobs: Green Beige for redness, Peach Beige for bluish under-eye tones, Brightener for pink-toned brightness, and Contour Beige for shading. If you want green and peach in one compact, our Triple Pot 01 vs 03 comparison is the useful next read.
