What to Buy at Olive Young Korea on a $50 Budget

Instead of collecting three almost-identical shades, narrow it down to the mood you want. A rose or mauve direction for a cooler-looking lip? A peach or warm brown direction for something warmer? Make the basket feel more like you

For a mask night: swap LANEIGE for Biodance

If a face mask sounds more fun than another lip product, put the lip-mask allowance towards Biodance’s pink Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask. The gel comes in two pieces and gradually becomes clear; daytime directions allow three to four hours or until clear. This is one for a slow evening, not a ten-minute dash before dinner.

Adding another ₩13,000 tint to the original basket brings it to ₩63,000, about US$47.45. That is a reasonable option if you know the recipient’s colour preferences. If you do not, keep the money rather than guessing at a shade they may never wear.

The one check that makes the basket work

Before paying, add up the actual shelf prices of your chosen versions. A sale can make the basket cheaper; a special scent, a bigger box or an extra “small” purchase can move it the other way. The useful number is the total you are about to pay.
